Tamla Horsford Part Two: FCSO interviews and findings

Group picture from that night via Facebook

After law enforcement arrived, Jeanne was instructed to get everyone back to her house for statements. This is where things get muddy, in my opinion. These women and men were not separated. They were allowed to talk and mingle and discuss the evening. And you’ll notice, the dates on their “interviews” were well after that day of the 4th. It just seems like they shut this case when they left that day before noon.

We’ll start with Jeanne Meyers’ interview on November 9, 2018. It’s immediately addressed that she gave Forsyth County deputies and investigators gift cards to Dunkin Donuts and that they can’t accept them. She actually giggles and says, “My kids will take ’em!” When asked about the evening of her party, she says that Tam arrived at 8:30 pm and brought a bottle of tequila as a gift for her. The way she says the word ‘gift’ is just snotty! She said Tam insisted that she try it because it was from Mexico. Jeanne said she smelled it, threw up in her mouth and said no! Jeanne said Tam offered it to other people because “she’s the life of the party and is always the life of the party.” Here again, her tone is just snobby and jealous, in my opinion. It seems like she tried to control the interview too. She claims that Tam was going to sleep upstairs in her oldest son’s room. The next morning her aunt, Madeline, went outside and saw Tam lying face down in the grass. Madeline came back in and prayed immediately. She then went upstairs and woke up Jeanne and Jose. She called 911 outside and Jose touched Tam’s back and tried to bend her leg. Both of Tam’s arms were by her side. She says, “Looked like she face planted.” Jeanne said that Jose seeing Tam’s wedding ring made it personal. I’m not quite sure what she meant by that statement. Personal?? The whole situation should be personal with someone dying while at a party you attended. Jeanne saw the cut on her wrist. She talked about fussing at Tam for smoking weed on the deck with Jose there. She goes on to mention some wondering if Tam did cocaine and commented that Tam partied hard a lot. She said Tam wanted to go home but they told her no and stated that Tam didn’t even seem drunk at all. At the end of the interview she begins complaining about Tam’s family and friends. She said they posted on Facebook as Tam saying, “I loved you all.” and she is pissed off about it. I want to add in that she hired an attorney to stop people (mainly Michelle, a friend of Tam’s) from talking about the case and then sold her home to a deputy, Deputy Reeves. The guarantee on the loan was her mother, Sharon Petitt.

interview with Jose Barrera on November 9, 2018 with FCSO via Justice for Tamla Horsford/Forsyth exposed on YouTube

I’ll point out key things to remember and pay attention to for later on. Jose states that after halftime he and Tom remained upstairs for the rest of the evening. It’ll be said later that he and Tom went back downstairs for most of the night and either didn’t come up except for small time frames or they only came up to fix anther mixed drink. He says at the end of the evening ‘they’ cleaned up the kitchen and such. Later on it is said that Bridget was the only one to clean up. He states that Jenn was the most intoxicated there. They ALL say this multiple times. He says that Jeanne was the last to have a conversation with Tam, according to Jeanne, but that he never saw or heard it. It’s said by others that Bridget and Tam were the last ones up together. He claims to have tapped Tam’s back and checked her twice-once before and once during the 911 call. He says he moved Tam’s leg and that it wouldn’t bend due to being stiff. Now, this is 9 am and the last time Tam is seen in 1:47 (7 hours in between). You’ll see this later on and I’ll provide information about rigor. He also claims that both her arms were by her side and that he doesn’t know who moved her arm. He brings up that when he went onto the deck to look over, there was a loose cigarette and lighter on the ground that he picked up and put on the fire pit. He recalled her Facetime call with her daughter which was at 12:32 am, I believe. He gave the scenario that maybe she was sitting on the deck railing and then brought up the propane tank saying she may have stood on it and went over.

Let’s go to Nicole Lawson. Her interview with FCSO was on November 9, 2018. She says she met Tam that night for the first time. She says she got there early around 6 pm and that Tam arrived between 8-8:30. She claims she didn’t drink and left around 10:30 pm, right after Paula arrived. She said the next morning she went to the gym, came back home and got the call about Tam. She brought up the tequila that Tam brought and said everyone passed it around and smelled it while Tam was outside and said it stunk real bad. She remembered that Tam had a Facetime call with her daughter as well. Now, this is strange! How did she leave at 10:30 if they all said hey to her daughter on the Facetime call at 12:32 am?

Marcy’s second interview by phone via Justice for Tamla Horsford/Forsyth exposed on YouTube

Marcy Hardin was interviewed on November 14, 2018 by FCSO. Marcy said she arrived between 7:30-8 pm and had never met Tam before that night. She claims to have gone to bed with Jenn around 12:30. She said she set her alarm for 4 am to get up for work. She then got a text from Jenn between 8-9 about Tam and went straight back over there. When asked about how Tam seemed she responded that she was happy, normal, laughing and having a good time. She brought up that they all called her daughter and said “hi” on a Facetime call. She said when she left the next morning, the TV in the living room was still on and the front door was unlocked. If she was up for the call to Tam’s daughter, she went to sleep after 12:30. Setting her alarm for 4 am is odd because she had to be at work at 10:30 am. When the investigator asked about that, she actually said, “Is it a crime to get up and leave early?” She also asked, “What’s going on with the case?” They explained they were expecting to close the case that day. She wanted to know what time they were closing it and announcing it to the public. Does that strike anyone as odd behavior? And why get up six and half hours early for work?

Above is the first interview with Bridget Fuller on November 11, 2018. I’ll lay out some of the details to keep in mind, although I think the video speaks for itself while listening to Bridget. She seems very narcissistic and rather nutty, in my opinion. When asked about that night she goes into claiming she’s a “mother hen” and that her main priority is children. I don’t even have words for that statement. She then claims Tam liked her because she had a few drinks but kept her wits about her. She talked about the weekend before boasting about herself that probably made you roll your eyes. I loved the statement that ‘she’s a perfect friend’ too. She named Jeanne and her boss as her best friends and claimed to have no downfalls. She talks about Tam plopping on her while she’s on the couch and says that that picture is in there. She talked about being overwhelmed by Jenn due to her being so drunk. She goes on to say she doesn’t sleep at strange people’s houses. Bridget said she has trust issues too. I’m wondering why she would say that if she named Jeanne as one of her two best friends. Why would she feel uneasy staying at her best buddy’s house? Anyway, she talks about calling her boyfriend, Gary, to pick her up and Tam eating gumbo before she leaves. She literally states she left at 1:45 ish, give or take a few seconds. She then calls out the times that the back door opened and such after she left. I guess Jose or Jeanne gave her that information, huh? She talks about the back door being left open and gives reasons. Why does she do that? Another odd statement was, “Tam hugged and kissed me so my DNA will be all over those jammies.” The information she has after she left came from Jose. She even said that Tam used the propane tank to stand on. Think about that! They’ve all got a story to stick to it seems. She then flirts a bit and talks about her previous marriages after she was politely asked to stick to only the info she knows first hand about that evening. She also brings up her own slurred speech and claims it’s due to medication. She actually sounds so messed up during this whole interview.

Here’s a phone call for a follow up interview with Bridget. She answered and was shocked and speechless! I actually giggled! This woman and her ‘medication’. Keep in mind she says, again, that she never gave anyone Xanax and that she cannot lie! Lawd have mercy. She also says that Tam straddled her and grabbed her boobs. That’s not what she said during her first interview. She got very defensive during this call and then said she didn’t give her anything or “see anything put in her drink.” HUH?! Why in the hell would she say that? It sounds like when she gets defensive and starts rambling she says more than she means to.

Jennifer Morrell is next. I have an interview from FCSO that shows her DUI during the video. I also have a few videos from the party and her DUI arrest, which all came from YouTube on the Justice for Tamla Horsford/Forsyth exposed page. Grab your popcorn.

Jenn dancing or something
Jenn with her legs in the air
Jenn’s FCSO interview

November 19, 2018- She admitted to having a good bit of wine since her husband dropped her off for the night. She then says she went to bed at 1 am. Remember that. She goes on to say that when she got up no one else was awake. She then says she sees Jose, Jeanne and Madeline running down the stairs looking panicked. She gives roughly the same account of what was seen after that, except she says Jose went down to the basement first. He said he went immediately to the deck first, picked up the loose cigarette and lighter and then looked over the deck. She then provides her texts with her husband that morning that show when she texted him about coming to get her and such. He got there just as 911 was being called. LE told him if he didn’t want to wait for hours he may as well leave for a bit. At the end of the interview she says something that I caught. She said that when she went to go out on the deck that morning, as all the stuff was happening, the door was already open a few inches when she touched it. If she was the first one on the deck, why did Jose lie about being out there first?

Jenn’s DUI arrest video

Moving on to Sarah Cockerham. Her interview was on November 14, 2018 with FCSO. This was a quick one so I’ll just sum it up. Sarah came over with appetizers from Chili’s around 7:30 pm. Tam arrived around 8:30 and they watched football and socialized. It was her first time meeting Tam. Sarah had 2 glasses of wine and left around 10:30 that evening. She says that Tam was nice, happy and energetic. Tam was very excited about the bottle of tequila she had brought over. Sarah said she mostly watched football and drove herself home. All I ask that you keep in mind here is the time she left and what she did not say. She left around 10:30 and drove herself home but never mentions Nicole leaving at the same time as she did or them talking on the way home. Nicole is definitely lying, in my opinion.

Paula Seals FCSO interview was also on November 14, 2018. She arrived after 9:30 pm and everyone was eating gumbo, watching football and drinking. They played a card game until midnight and she went to bed at 1:30. She left around 7:30-7:45 the next morning, which is about the time Jenn had first texted her husband. She remembered the call with Tam’s daughter (12:32 am). She said Jenn was extremely intoxicated. Lord, they all say this!! She was in bed at 1:45 because she texted Stacy but Stacy never responded. She mentioned that she called a friend, Diane, the next day and Diane asked her if Tam was doing coke. Diane wasn’t even at the party. Why would she ask that?

Tom Smith’s interview with FCSO via Justice for Tamla Horsford/Forsyth exposed on YouTube

Tom arrived separately from his wife, Stacy. He went and got ice with Jose during half time. I don’t remember Jose or anyone else mentioning this trip. He said everyone hung out and he and Stacy went to bed around 1:30 am. He woke up at 7:30 and they left around 8:30. He noticed Tam’s car still in the driveway and noted it because Tam had expressed she wanted to leave the night before and he told her to stay there to be safe and not drive. He said he’d known Tam and her husband for about 4 years.

Stacy’s interview with FCSO was pretty much the same. She said the next morning, when they came down to leave, she was glad to see Tam’s phone meaning that Tam had decided to stay and not try to drive home after drinking. She said Tom got the call after they’d left and he said, “Tam’s hurt. We gotta go back.” She tried to tear up at the end of the interview but it just sounded like a lot of sniffling and such, to me.

via Justice for Tamla Horsford/Forsyth exposed on YouTube

Key parts of this interview will be noted here. Madeline says that Nicole was the first to arrive at 4:30. Huh? This is NOT the time Nicole gave. She also claims that Bridget and her husband arrived and that everyone was in the living room watching the game. She then mentions taking the picture of all the ladies on the couch that night. She never said that Gary, Bridget’s husband, dropped her off or left. She simply stated that they arrived and the party commenced. She mentions the men coming up at half time and going to get ice. After this she went to bed and woke up at 8:30 to make herself some coffee. She walked by the window, not outside like it was said before, and saw Tam’s pajamas. She didn’t start the coffee, instead she hit her knees and prayed. That seems strange to me. She calls Tam the “friend from the islands” and that is weird to me too. She states she woke up Jenn after telling Jose and Jeanne that Tam is face down in the yard. Jenn stated she was already up! Who is lying?? Jeanne then walks in DURING THE INTERVIEW IN HER LIVING ROOM and says, “I’m gonna start charging y’all rent! And I just went and got gift cards!” Madeline then replies, “And I just made them cookies!” What the hell is going on here?! Gift cards and baking cookies during interviews? Jeanne’s mom, you’ll see later on, threatening to sue if things don’t go her way? It looks pretty bad when you do things like this to win over law enforcement. Jeanne then says from the background, “Do you need me or can I go get ready for this funeral?” That is such a shitty thing to say and by all means, listen to her tone! It’s ridiculous! Anyway, later on in the interview, Madeline says she thought that maybe Tam had tripped and fell and mentioned she leaves that light on for people’s safety. Jeanne interrupts the interview again telling Madeline she has to pick up the kids. Draw your own conclusions listening to how Jeanne speaks to others. I’m honestly sick of hearing her voice at the moment.

Well, this is the gist of the interviews from the FCSO. I’ll include here, at the end of this post, any images I think you need to see and the FCSO’s findings. Think about what you’ve heard and read and let me know what you think! Thanks for reading!

Proof of Jose accessing files in the case!
A picture taken right after Tam’s funeral showing happy, smiling faces. What do they have to be so happy about??? They just buried a “friend”.

Tamla Horsford

Tamla Horsford was a 40 year old vivacious woman with an amazing husband and 6 beautiful children. They moved to Forsyth County, Georgia for her husband’s career. She was very active and involved with her children’s school and sports they participated in. She and Leander, her husband, would attend games and such cheering on their boys with pride! In the summer/fall of 2018, Tamla began socializing with some of the other parents within their sports circle. She was making new friends and getting that “mom break” we all desperately need sometimes! But on a seemingly innocent night of fun, drinking, celebrating a birthday and watching football, things turned tragic.

Tam was invited to the home of Jeanne Meyers, located at 4450 Woodlet Court, Cumming, GA, on the night of November 3, 2018.

Jeanne was celebrating her birthday and wanted to watch the LSU game. It was supposed to be a slumber party for just the ladies. Show up, eat, drink, watch football, have fun, put on your pajamas and spend the night! Two men, however, decided they would stay in the basement watching football out of the ladies’ way. The night seemed to go just fine until a gruesome discovery was made the following morning…Tam was deceased in the backyard.

Witness/People at the party

  • Jeanne Meyers – Homeowner
  • Jose Barrera – Boyfriend of Jeanne
  • Nicole Lawson
  • Marcy Hardin
  • Bridget Fuller
  • Michael Pallerino
  • Jennifer Morrell
  • Sarah Cocerham
  • Paula Seals
  • Thomas Smith
  • Stacy Smith
  • Madeline Lombardi – Jeanne’s aunt who lives at the house.

Jeanne Meyers called 911 at 8:59 on the morning of November 4, 2018. She then passed the phone to her boyfriend, Jose Barrera. At the time, Jose worked for Forsyth County as a probation officer. Listen to what each of them said during the call and feel free to listen 2-3 times. Listen to their tone. Listen to their demeanor. Let’s break it down real quick and see what we get.

Jeanne was very calm, collective and had no panic in her voice. She immediately went into alibi mode, giving an account of the night before. She then went straight into giving a “story” of what happened to Tam. She makes the comment that she is “stiff”. She quickly hands the phone off to Jose. He introduced himself and sounded very authoritative. He answered that she’s not moving and not breathing, completely face down in the yard and stiff. He made a statement pointing to the fact that he hasn’t turned her over. How did he know she wasn’t breathing? He’s then asked to actually check to see if she is breathing or not. The dispatcher knew he hadn’t checked for breathing or any signs of life. He gives the same story about last night that Jeanne gave. He mentioned he was the last to see her awake. He’s incredibly calm and collected as well during the call. He took a moment to mention that his girlfriend has cameras on the back deck that would’ve caught the incident. You will see later on that he knew, way beforehand, that those cameras weren’t working/recording! He also gave two scenarios of what happened. He said she either fell from the deck or was already ‘down here’ and fell. When asked if everyone that attended the party was still present, he said that 4 people had left already and that the alarm system (it’s separate from the cameras) would show the doors open/close times. The call ended as Deputy Miller is the fist to arrive on the scene.

Jose Barrera
Jeanne Meyers via Facebook

The bulk of the “story” is that some of the ladies left that night and the few that stayed pretty much went to bed at the same time. Tam and Bridget were the last ones up on the main level. Bridget’s boyfriend was picking her up though. He arrived and she left at 1:47 am. Tam was supposedly having one cigarette and going to bed. She opened the back door at 1:49, the door closed at 1:50 and opened again at 1:57 but remained open. That’s it. Makes no sense does it? The “meat” of the evening will come from the individual interviews that I will address in the next post. Some of them match certain times and such and some don’t. After reading all their interviews and listening to them, if you choose to do so, it will make much more sense.

Let’s view the crime scene, evidence and autopsy. Here is the backyard of 4450 Woodlet Court. The railing that Mike Christian is leaning on is the main floor of the home and the deck that Tam would come out onto to smoke during the party. The ground level door is considered the basement door by Jeanne’s security system.

From the top rail to the ground is 14 feet 10 1/2 inches. From the deck to the top rail is 3 feet 1 inch. The rail width is 5 inches. Tam, according to the witnesses, was face down in the grass, legs straight out and arms by her side with her palms facing up. That is an extremely awkward position! Face down. Legs straight. Both arms at her side and palms facing up. Who falls down like that? Could she have been placed like that? Crime scene photos also cause an issue because her left arm is not in the position others claimed. The propane tank, in the photo above, on the deck appeared to have had the buildup of dirt removed per FCSO report.

The tequila bottle Tam brought had 1/8 left and Tam is the only one that drank from it, according to the attendees. At 11:05 law enforcement checked for post mortem changes. Rigor and lividity were both present. Her body was cold to the touch. LE left the scene at 11:42 am. The evidence markers, EM, were placed at the scene. EM 1 and 2 were placed at divots in the ground. EM 3 was placed at the location of the victim’s head. EM 4 was placed at an unknown substance in the grass.

The autopsy was performed on November 6, 2018 at 1300 hrs.

There were no breaks or fractures to the face. There were blunt force injuries to the head and neck. Abrasions were to the right side of her forehead, left upper eyelid, bridge of her nose, right temple and chin. There was bleeding at the right temple/scalp area, subarachnoid hemorrhage(bleeding into the space between the brain and thin tissues covering it), subdural hemorrhage (blood leaking and collecting in the space between the brain’s surface and its outermost covering), partial atlanto-occupital dislocation (the skull has partially separated from the top vertebra in the neck), and a non-displaced linear fracture of the 2nd cervical vertebra (a crack in the neck bone).

A 3/4 inch laceration of the right ventricle of the heart, right wrist dislocation, 1 inch laceration and protrusion of the right wrist, abrasions to the left forearm, tip of left index finger, right lower leg and left lower leg were noted.

THC, alcohol (.238) and Xanax were detected and noted in her toxicology report. The cause of death was listed as multiple blunt force injuries. The manner of death was listed as an accident from a fall. Xanax works quickly with effects taking place within 30-60 minutes and peak concentration at 1-2 hours. Based on that and the amount of alcohol in Tam’s system, she had to have been given Xanax no later than 1 am, in my opinion.

What do you think so far? Does this resemble a fall from the deck? If we believe she was the only one left awake at the party, do we also believe she climbed up that railing and went over the side? If we go with the first story given, do we think she was on the ground level and tripped over that 1 inch metal border at the wood chips and just face planted the ground?

What do you think of the position of her body? If everyone says her hands were straight back by her side with palms facing up, how did her left arm end up in the position it was photographed in? How about the injuries to her head? Is it possible she was assaulted and then dragged to the spot she found?

The next post will go through the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office interviews and findings.

Joshua Scott Adams

Josh Adams vanished at some point between May 20-21, 2013.

Josh lived in Jefferson, GA at the time. He was 25 years old and had just returned home after a 6 week stay at a rehab center, A Forever Recovery, in Battle Creek, Michigan. He’d been home almost 2 weeks when things went wrong.

According to law enforcement, Josh called someone he had listed in his phone as “Tony” at 0930 on the morning of May 20th. When they reached out, he refused to repeat their conversation. Josh also called someone he had listed as “Angel” several times. When he was contacted, he refused to cooperate at first but then told them that Josh was staying in Athens with a guy known as Pork Chop.

Law enforcement traced his steps as best they could and found that he had stolen and cashed a check for $400 from his parents. Surveillance videos from that day, May 20, showed Josh at a gas station and then a bank in Commerce where he cashed the stolen check. The last text from his cell phone pinged on May 20 at or near West Broad Street in Athens, GA.

On May 21st the car was found in a pasture off Brockton Loop Rd in Jefferson, GA. This is land that his family owned. Josh drove a 2009 white Chevy Malibu. His keys, cell phone, wallet and $25 were found inside the car. His shoes, along with a hypodermic needle, were found neatly by the pond a couple hundred yards away on May 24th. There seemed to be no sign of Josh anywhere. Law enforcement used cadaver dogs and drained the pond on May 29th.

On May 25, 2018, a tip led law enforcement to a house in Hull, GA. Nothing related to Josh was found but 3 people were arrested on drug charges…Stephanie Guthrie, William Craig Lee and Salvador Chavez Rosales.

The family increased the reward in February of this year to $100,000 in hopes that someone will finally come forward with information.

I’ve read there was a tip from a caller saying that he was buried on a farm/ranch in the Lavonia area but haven’t heard anything come of it.

There’s so many questions in this case! Could he have possibly owed someone money? What do the two people he called/texted that day know? Did he ever leave Athens at all on the 20th? Why were his shoes placed neatly by the pond like they were? It would make some sense if he was there fishing and left his personal items in the car but the shoes being where they were is odd. Also, there has never been anything said about any fishing gear at all. Why was his car parked in the pasture? Did he park it or did someone else? If someone else did, then they obviously know him personally. None of this adds up and someone knows what happened to this man. I will post any updates as I get them.

The Murder of Vann Brown

Vann Brown was senselessly murdered at the age of 39 while attending a wedding and reception on Dec 31, 2019/Jan 1, 2020. The event was held at 1200 Woodrow Harper Rd in Ambrose, GA, which is the home of Jeffrey Harper. The cause of death is said to be asphyxiation resulting from multiple blunt force trauma. You may ask yourself, how does a wedding reception end with a murder and you wouldn’t be alone asking such a question. Weddings are supposed to be blissful and full of smiles and laughter. This one, however, turned ugly with lots of anger, intoxication and murder.

Due to the current trials of this case, the information I’ve received from eyewitnesses won’t be on this post, either at all or in their entirety. I do not want to compromise the trials and am hopeful justice will be served. After verdicts are rendered I’ll do an additional post to include everything I have. Please understand that I just want justice for Vann and have no intention of dangling anything over anyone’s head. With that being said, let’s get to it!

Vann was attending the reception of Travis and Sara Heidenreich. At some point, after midnight, Vann was supposedly ordered to leave the event. Evidence during Justin Anderson’s trial, an interview video of Justin and GBI Agent Seacrist, shows Justin saying that Kelli Harper, Jeffrey’s wife, was yelling for people to get Vann off her property. He stated that she was accusing Vann of groping girls and even flirting with her. Justin claimed that he, Jason Anderson and Cam Coffee escorted Vann up the hill some 200 yards to his truck. Within a short amount of time, Jeffrey Harper and others were storming towards Vann. Cam Coffee testified that Vann argued back with Jeffrey Harper and Morgan Lewis about halfway to his truck. Coffee claims that when Vann reached his truck he cussed and was reaching for his gun. He then threw Vann to the ground, causing an injury to himself that rendered him unable to walk at the time.

Now, I have to throw my two cents in here! No one I’ve spoken with has mentioned Vann being inappropriate at all during that evening. In fact, most people have mentioned the lack of clothing worn by the young women, the way those women were acting and the amount of alcohol Jeffrey Harper and several other men had consumed since around noon that day. How much and which statements are true? Decide for yourself. Here are a couple of still shots taken from the wedding video that is posted on YouTube and a picture retrieved off social media.

Vann Brown looking confused, in my opinion. It’s almost like he’s being accused of something. The woman he’s looking at resembles Kelli Harper, but I don’t know that for sure.
A still shot from the wedding video on YouTube. Vann is talking to a gentleman that I was told is possibly JP Harper. Again, I’m not 100% sure who Vann is speaking with.
Another still shot from the wedding video. A few watch as he walks away. Why? I have no idea. It just struck me as odd.
And another still shot. The guy in the white ball cap seems to be talking with someone as Vann looks on. I was told the woman standing next to Vann is Kelli Harper, but I honestly don’t know for sure.

Ok, so let’s get back to Vann being on the ground. According to the testimony of Annsley Coffee, someone came to the reception tent saying someone had been shot, possibly Cam Coffee. Naturally, she took off toward the scene. She said, upon arriving, Vann was on his back with Jeffrey Harper sitting on his torso. She also stated that Justin Anderson was holding Vann’s left arm down and Jason Anderson was holding his right arm down. There were, to her, two unknown men holding down Vann’s legs. As she got closer to Vann, she ordered everyone off him. She pushed Jeffrey Harper out of the way and knew immediately that Vann was dead. She claimed his pupils were dilated, no pulse and was blue in color. There was blood all around his head and Matt Lewis was carrying a bent baton.

Two cents time again! I’ve got to be careful here because I’ve been told and shown a great deal that gives me a pretty narrowed down timeline of these events. And if it hasn’t been released publicly, I don’t want to risk anything delaying or sabotaging the trials. Everyone knows Vann was short. Most of the men that have been arrested tower over him. Vann never got his hands on a gun. Never! Previous testimony proves that and Daniel Anderson, supposedly, got Vann’s gun and put it in his truck. Law enforcement retrieved it from his truck that night. (EDIT: It has been brought to my attention that I made a mistake! No excuse for it. I should’ve double checked facts! There was a gun retrieved from Daniel’s truck, but Kelli Harper actually turned over Vann’s gun to law enforcement.)So, with NO WEAPON, the assumed intention to leave the property and his size…it took 5 men to hold Vann down, beat him and ultimately cause his death??? “Excessive” doesn’t even begin to describe this horrible crime. And the bent baton?? Vann had two wounds to the top of his head caused by the baton. Matt Lewis testified that Justin Anderson told him to get rid of the baton. He took it to the woods and hid it under some pine straw. The following day Matt told law enforcement about the baton and what he did with it. So again, it took all these men to do this and claiming they only acted because he had a gun, that he in fact NEVER HAD? I just don’t buy it. I can’t. There’s more to it. There’s rumors going around and I have to tell ya, a couple of them kinda add up.

Matt Lewis plead guilty for hiding the baton. Charges were dropped on Jay Turk, which I don’t agree with. Justin Anderson was found not guilty of murder and aggravated assault and guilty of making false statements and tampering with evidence. I don’t agree with that verdict either!

Above are the mugshots of those arrested initially. Now, 911 was called at 12:50am. It was too late. Vann had already succumbed to the brutal hell he was put through in that short span of time. I don’t have much that I can share about the time after law enforcement arrived on scene except there seems to be a chunk of time the accused had to themselves instead of being hauled in immediately. I don’t think this was handled 100% professionally due to Harper’s name, his money and that good ol’ boy system. I think some people were held there until around 5am or so, including Vann’s body. But I have to say, the new development and arrest of Joey Anderson, the father of Justin and Jason, has eased my worries some. Mr Anderson attempted to tamper with the jury in his son’s trial.

The wedding video. Feel free to watch and pause frequently during the reception to look at everyone. Some things look odd…

I believe Jason Anderson’s trial is set for July 31st and Jeffrey Harper’s is set for August 29. I honestly hope for justice for Vann and his friends and family. They’ve been through hell and deserve closure.

At the end of the day, I’m glad there have been arrests made and trials underway. I just still think there’s more to this than Vann being accused of flirting and told to leave, tempers flared and tragedy unfolded. I wonder if there was something beforehand that happened and caused hostility. I’ll be sure to add an additional post in the future. And remember, everyone is innocent until proven guilty. I’ve made no remarks about who I think is responsible for anything. I just stated that it doesn’t add up to me, I don’t agree wholeheartedly with dropped charges and the last verdict and I don’t understand it taking that many men to subdue one individual.

Thank you to everyone that has taken the time to speak with me. I really appreciate your help and dedication to Vann and his family.
